BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Anime Casts Yuki Kaji as Adult Toshiro Hitsugaya

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War has officially added Yuki Kaji to the voice cast, with him voicing the adult version of Toshiro Hitsugaya. He made his debut in Episode 44, which premiered today (August 15, 2026). The role is officially listed as “Toshiro Hitsugaya (Complete Bankai).”

Kaji is well known for numerous big roles, including those of Eren Jeager in Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins, Kenma Kozume in Haikyu!!, among many others.

Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and concluded with 74 volumes. The manga has exceeded 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

The original anime adaptation aired from 2004 to 2012 and received four theatrical films. The franchise returned in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, adapting the manga’s final arc. Its final part (Part 4) is set to release in July. Tite Kubo has confirmed it will include even more original material than the previous parts, expanding the manga’s final battles.

On a related note, BLEACH: Mirrors High revealed its protagonists in a new trailer, with the game featuring original character designs by Tite Kubo.
