The ongoing anime series The Detective is Already Dead unveiled its true key visual featuring Siesta, Kimihiko Kimizuka, and Natsunagi Nagisa. Studio ENGI (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out) is producing the series under the direction of Manabu Kurihara. In addition, Funimation, Wakanim, and Muse Asia are currently streaming the series worldwide.
Cast & Production
Arata Nagai is voicing Kimihiko Kimizuka, while Saki Miyashita voices Siesta. Ayana Taketatsu is also in the cast as Natsunagi Nagisa. Additionally, Maria Naganawa, Takehito Koyasu, Saho Shirasu, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka are also starring in the anime.
Manabu Kurihara is directing, while Yousuke Ito is doing character designs. Deko Akao is taking care of series composition. Mary is singing the opening theme “Koko de Ikiteru” with jon-YAKITORY, while popular VTuber Kagura Nana performs the ending theme, which is titled “Kodou.”
Moreover, The Detective is Already Dead is an anime adaptation of the light novel with the same title by Nigozyu.
The Detective is Already Dead Synopsis
The story of Tantei wa mou, Shindeiru. follows Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became the assistant of a mysterious detective known as “Siesta” on a hijacked airplane. Together, Kimihiko and Siesta went on mind-boggling, globe-trotting adventures while combatting a secret organization. But all of that came to an end when they were separated by Siesta’s death. In the present day, Kimihiko tries to return to ordinary, boring life as a high school student. But things are never that simple, even though the detective is already dead.
