Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Releases Trailer, Key Visual

Netflix’s official Twitter account released a trailer and a key visual for their upcoming Cowboy Bebop live-action series on October 27. It’s an adaptation based on the anime of the same name from 1990s. What’s more, it will hit the streaming service exclusively on November 19 all over the world.

Netflix posted the key visual with a caption “Let’s jam!“:

Netflix Japan also tweeted the names of the cast members who will be responsible for the Japanese dubbing.

John Cho acts as the series’ protagonist Spike Spiegel (Yamadera Kouichi), with his fellow bounty hunters Jet Black (Kusunoki Taiten) and Faye Valentine (Hayashibara Megumi) as Mustafa Shakir and Daniella Pineda respectively. In addition, Elena Satine plays the role of Julia (Takashima Gara), while Alex Hassel will play Vicious (Wakamoto Norio). [The original voice actor for Jet Black, Ishizuka Unsho, passed away on August 13, 2018.]

Netflix describes the series as:

COWBOY BEBOP is an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.
