On November 2, the official Twitter account for Given’s TV anime announced an upcoming Given CD release. The limited-edition CD will feature the series’ band’s newest single, ‘Uragawa no Sonzai’, from the upcoming OVA of the same name. Accompanying the OVA’s title track will be a full orchestral arrangement of ‘Fuyu no Hanashi’ from Given‘s first season.
The CD will be released on December 1, 2021, in a bundle including a Blu-ray of the ‘Given – Yoru ga Akeru’ live event held in October 2020. It will be available in three editions; one including a T-shirt, another including a badge, and the other just containing the CD and Blu-ray.

In addition, Given author Natsuki Kizu shared a new illustration (shown below) of the series’ main characters to celebrate the CD’s announcement. The CD’s release coincides with the release of the DVD featuring the series’ new OVA, Uragawa no Sonzai. The DVD will ship with a special edition of the manga’s seventh volume on December 1, 2021.
Synopsis
Given‘s TV anime premiered in 2019 and is based on Natsuki Kizu’s boys love/music manga of the same name. The series is available to stream via Crunchyroll, which describes the plot as follows:
Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal. That was until Ritsuka Ueonyama met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life. but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them begins to change.
