Genshin Impact is back with its infamous drip marketing and two new playable characters: Faruzan and Wanderer, who most of us know as Scaramouche. The two new characters will be available in the upcoming version 3.3 and both are Anemo vision holders. Information on Faruzan is very limited at the moment, but her character design is available, along with the Wanderer’s:
Scaramouche
Scaramouche will play a central role in the upcoming Archon quest in Sumeru. As we learned in the recent Archon Quests, Scaramouche, who is the Sixth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, is on his way to becoming a god and fulfilling his wishes. It is not clear how he will transition to the “Wanderer” role from the current Balladeer Harbinger name. It has been nearly two years since players first met Scaramouche during the Unreconciled Stars event. If you missed this event, your first meeting with him would be in Inazuma’s Archon Quest.
Tetsuya Kakihara is voicing Scaramouche in the JP version of the Genshin Impact game. Balladeer’s English voice has been a mystery for a while, but voice actor Patrick Pedraza broke the silence earlier today and announced that he was voicing the character (in his first Tweet ever). Check out his performance in the latest Scaramouche cutscene:
The new update is set for November 1 and it will introduce Nahida, the Dendro Archon, as a playable character. The update will also feature three re-run banners: Yoimiya (who will be running concurrently with Nahida), Yae Miko, and Childe. A new four-star character is joining in the second half. Her name is Layla.
