Aki Hamaji’s Bocchi the Rock manga released the newest, volume 5 on Saturday. The book is available at the price of ¥960 (≒$7). The series is being serialized in Hobunsha’s monthly magazine Manga Time Kirara Max since 2018. The anime adaptation by Studio CloverWorks is airing every Saturday in Japan and the next, 8th episode broadcasted on the day.
The volume compiles a special chapter “Hoshi ni Tamukeru Ai no Hana” which depicts Nijika and Seika’s past, and the official Twitter account of Manga Time Kirara editorial department and the author recommended reading it before the 8th episode aired.
The newly-released volume features three adult characters in the live house STARRY on the cover: Nijika Ijichi’s sister and the manager of the house, Seika, is sitting on a chair with her right elbow on the desk. She is holding a cigarette in her left hand. Standing next to her is PA-san, the PA engineer for the music club, and sitting on the floor with a big smile is drunk Kikuri Hiroi who recently made an appearance in the anime’s 6th episode. Some bottles of sake can be spotted around her.
