Kaguya-sama Love is War Manga Reveals Cover for Volume 28 and Fanbook

Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga series will release the final volume, volume 28, and a fanbook along with G3Ida’s spin-off Kaguya-sama wo Kataritai’s final volume (8) on December 19. Aka Akasaka ended the 7-and-a-half-year-long serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in early November 2022. The spin-off also came to a conclusion in the issue as well.

The final volume’s cover shows Kaguya Shinomiya, Ai Hayasaka, Maki Shijo, and Miko Iino from right to left. Below them stays Chika Fujiwara in half. This cover forms an illustration when combined with the cover of the previous, 27th volume.

The fanbook is titled Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai Last Koshiki Fanbook Shuchi-in Gakuen Sotsugyo Party~Kaguya-sama wa Iwawaretai~, which translates into Kaguya-sama: Love is War Last Official Fanbook Shuchi-in Academy Graduation Party~Kaguya-sama wants to be congratulated~. The book features the main duo, Kaguya and Miyuki, in formal clothes on the cover. The spin-off’s 8th volume has Karen Kino (left) and Erika Kose (right) on the cover and behind them are Kaguya and Miyuki (this is also the cover of Kaguya-sama Love is War‘s 26th volume).

Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-sama Love Is War manga launched in Shueisha’s monthly magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 but was later moved to Weekly Young Jump magazine in March 2016. The manga inspired a TV anime series with three seasons by A-1 Pictures and several live-action film adaptations. A new anime project Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- is in the works and is set to have both a theatrical screening and a TV broadcast. Aka Akasaka released a statement regarding the finale of the manga series and announced his retirement as a manga artist along with his future activity to dedicate himself to story writing as an original writer of manga works.
