Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana (Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk) revealed an Akane Yusa character visual on Friday. Additionally, the series also announced that Yurina Amami is voicing the character.
Yurina Amami’s comment on the character she’s playing:
I’m Yurina Amami, and I will be playing Akane Yusa. Their world is spun faintly, fleetingly, and gently, like different kinds of drinks that change in taste and expression depending on one’s mood or preference. In the same way, I want to express Akane delicately and carefully, and at times, boldly. Shochu with water… no, on the rocks.
The series also revealed a character visual and trailer for the other cast members:
- Botan Kamiina (voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro)
- Ibuki Tonami (voiced by Yoshino Aoyama)
- Kanade Gujo (voiced by Minako Kotobuki)
Studio Soigne (mono) is animating the series based on a manga written and illustrated by Hey. Takashi Sakuma (16bit Sensation: Another Layer) is the director. The anime is slated to premiere in April 2026.
The story centers around Kamiina Botan, a 20-year-old college freshman in Chichibu, Saitama, who experienced her first drink after meeting Ibuki Tonami, the leader of her dorm. Botan now spends her time trying different kinds of alcohol.
