The upcoming Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime unveiled a new trailer along with the opening and ending theme songs. The opening theme will be performed by YOASOBI titled “Yuusha” while the ending theme “Anytime Anywhere” will be performed by milet. The series premieres on September 29 with a two-hour special.
Studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) is animating the series with Keiichirou Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) as director. The other staff includes Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) as the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) as the music composer, and Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) as the character designer. Meanwhile, Atsumi Tanezaki is voicing the titular character Frieren and the rest of the cast consists of Nobuhiko Okamoto as Himmel, Hiroki Tochi as Heiter, Yoji Ueda as Eisen, Kana Ichinose as Fern, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark. The series recently revealed a visual consisting of the new party.

The anime is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Shonen magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. Viz Media is licensing the manga in English and describes the plot as follows:
Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. With the great struggle over, they all go their separate ways to live a quiet life. But as an elf, Frieren, nearly immortal, will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to terms with the mortality of her friends? How can she find fulfillment in her own life, and can she learn to understand what life means to the humans around her? Frieren begins a new journey to find the answer.
