The November issue of the popular Japanese young-boys magazine Monthly CoroCoro Comic was released on October 14, 2023, and announced the collaboration of three titles under Shogakukan’s magazines: Shonen Sunday‘s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and CoroCoro Comics‘s Unmei no Makimodoshi and Beyblade X manga. The collaboration featured a Beyblade-themed interactive manga with characters Frieren and Unmei no Makimodoshi protagonist Chrono. Check out the cover art and visuals below:
The November issue of Monthly CoroCoro Comic contains titles such as Minecraft: Sekai no Hate no Tabi, Beyblade X, the Fortnite manga by Naoto Katsumi, and will contain multiple appendices, including the Unmei no Makimodoshi × Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End × Beyblade X interactive manga. More generally, the manga will explore Chrono and Frieren’s adventures. For example, with a huge ice boulder tumbling toward Chrono, Frieren, Fern, and Stark, CoroCoro readers are faced with choices in the interactive manga that can result in different outcomes. The interactive manga requires an internet connection and a phone that can scan QR codes.
Shogakukan provides a list of outlets where the November issue of Monthly CoroCoro Comic can be bought. Per the terms and conditions, the Frieren collaboration manga doesn’t come with digital versions. Tower Records provides international shipping for the physical release, and describes the November issue:
