My Hero Academia anime has announced a new card game-focused special episode titled My Hero Academia: UA Heroes Battle, which will premiere in October. It will focus on the card game “UA Heroes Battle,” created by the support class of UA. The special episode will screen in 10 theaters in Japan through October 20-26, while it will also premiere at New York Comic Con on October 13 (and stream on Crunchyroll in the future). The third year, Mirio Togata, pays a visit to the students of Class 1-A, who are bored because they are not allowed to go outside. He brings them a card game called U.A. Heroes Battle that the support course made. This game, where players can use cards of various U.A. students, is tough, just like U.A. itself. Who will win the card battle?!
The My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. Season 2 aired in 2017, followed by the third season in 2018. The fourth part of the anime series started airing in the fall of 2019 and ended in the winter of 2020. The fifth season aired in 2021, while the sixth and latest aired from October 2022 until March of this year. The franchise also has 3 movies: Two Heroes (2018), Heroes:Rising (2019) and World Heroes’ Mission (2021). Both season 7 and movie 4 have been announced.
