DRAGON BALL: Sparking ZERO has announced a new DLC with a teaser trailer, introducing more playable characters such as King Piccolo, Super Saiyan Bardock, Super Android 17, among others. Besides the new characters, the trailer also teases new costumes and Super Attacks, new stages, and a new mode.
The reveal was made during the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event. Prior to the news, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol sequel anime was announced, along with a new game titled AGE1000.

The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft, who previously worked on DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI The game previously topped the pre-order charts for both Playstation and Steam ahead of its October 11, 2024 launch, hitting 3 million copies within the first 24 hours. The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft, who previously also worked on DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI. It is the first entry in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years, and released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It featured 182 playable characters at launch.
