I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime has revealed the first trailer, featuring the voices of the main duo. The main cast consists of Haruka Shiraishi as Leticia and Jun Fukuyama as Prince Clarke. Studio EMT Squared is in charge of the animation, and the release date is set for 2025. Shinobu Tagashira will serve as both the director and character designer of the series, with Tomoko Kanemaki in charge of the series composition. The anime previously revealed visuals for the two characters.
I Want to Escape From Princess Lessons is based on a light novel series written by Izumi Sawano and illustrated by Miru Yumesaki. It was originally published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from August 2018 to May 2019, before it was serialized by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha from April 2019 to March 2020 under its PASH! Books imprint. There is also an ongoing manga adaptation by Uri Sugata.
J-Novel Club licensed both the novel and manga in English, describing the story:
Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since age seven.
