Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 has revealed a new key visual ahead of its January 2025 release date. The second season of the After-School Hanako-kun anime short series released its fourth and final episode today. Studio Lerche is in charge of the animation, with Yohei Fukui as the director.
The new key visual stars the titular Hanako-kun and Nene, and you can check it out below.
A special illustration was also released to commemorate the final episode of the spin-off anime releasing.
Megumi Ogata voices Hanako, with Akari Kito as Nene. The first trailer for the second season was released back in July, and you can also check that out below.
Besides the director Yohei Fukui, the anime staff for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 includes Yasuhiro Nakanishi in charge of the series composition and Mayuka Ito as the character designer.
The Hanako-kun anime is based on a manga by AidaIro (written by Iro and illustrated by Aida), which has been serialized in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy since 2014. The After-School Hanako-kun spin-off manga by the same creators began in 2018. Yen Press is publishing both in English.
Crunchyroll is streaming both the first season of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun and the After-School Hanako-kun short anime, describing the story for the former:
Kamome Academy is rumored to have many mysteries, the strangest of which involves the mischievous ghost of Hanako-kun. When occult-loving high schooler Nene Yashiro accidentally becomes bonded to him, she uncovers a hidden world of supernatural beings. Now the two of them are conspiring to keep the peace between student and supernatural—that is, if they can only stay out of trouble themselves.
