Demon Slayer Film Becomes The Highest-Grossing Japanese Film Worldwide

In total, Demon Slayer Mugen Train sold over 27,450,000 tickets and earned a total of 37,776,680,150 yen (~US$360 million) in Japan alone. Demon Slayer was climbing through the ranks pretty steadily. Just a little bit over a month ago Demon Slayer film became the 2nd highest-grossing anime film worldwide. Finally, 6 months after its premiere, Demon Slayer film managed to surpass Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away! The film was extremely popular in Japan, sitting in first place in terms of tickets sold for 13 weekends before it dropped to second place!
