Milan Records released the DAN DA DAN original soundtrack today with music by composer kensuke ushio. The album features original score music written by ushio, and it is available on all the major music streaming platforms.
Composer kensuke ushio said about the soundtrack:
When I first read the original comic of DAN DA DAN, I was captivated by the attitude to encapsulate various cultures to create a new story. The occult, UFO, rom-com, old Japanese movies, you can see the bits and pieces of those elements sampled in the storyline. Thinking back ‘sampling’ was always there in the music I grew up with. For this project, my goal was to create music unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, featuring a variety of samplings (legit!), yet still be a cohesive part of DAN DA DAN. When you’re done listening to this record, please go to the record store to dig for music you can sample!

Yukinobu Tatsu writes and draws the DAN DA DAN manga, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in 2021. The story follows a high school girl Momo and her classmate Ken Takakura. Momo comes from a family of spirit mediums, while Ken is a follower of the occult. After their challenge went wrong, Ken (now known as Okarun) got cursed and ended up with yokai powers.
Studio Science SARU is animating, with both Crunchyroll and Netflix streaming the anime, which has frequently been ranking near the top in our weekly rankings.
