Voice actors Mikako Komatsu and Tomoaki Maeno announced on social media the birth of their second child.
In an Instagram post, Komatsu shared that both she and the baby are healthy. She also mentioned that their eldest child was excited to meet the new sibling and often peeks into the crib. Komatsu plans to gradually resume work after settling in.
Meanwhile, Maeno expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), thanking everyone for their support. He also said that he had a feeling of an added sense of responsibility with the new addition to their family and looks forward to everyone’s continued support.
Both voice actors made their marriage public in 2020 and welcomed their first child in 2023. Mikako previously posted on her Instagram in September 2024 that she was expecting her second child.
Mikako Komatsu is a voice actress known for voicing characters such as Maki Zenin from Jujutsu Kaisen, Tsugumi Seishirou from Nisekoi, Saika Totsuka from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Yume from Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions. She’s also the voice behind popular gacha game characters such as Mavuika from Genshin Impact and Feixiao from Honkai: Star Rail.
Tomoaki Maeno’s roles include Veldora Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Hak in Yona of the Dawn, Zhongli in Genshin Impact, Decim in Death Parade, Hakkekkyuu U-1146 in Cells at Work! and Arc in Skeleton Knight in Another World.
