Following a Pokémon leak from last year, Nintendo of America has asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to issue a subpoena to Discord, which would identify GameFreakOUT, a user within the FreakLeak server.
The subpoena was filed on April 18 and granted on April 21. Discord now has until May 7 to release identifying information on GameFreakOUT, which includes “name(s), address(es), telephone number(s), e-mail address(es), and IP address(es), or other information within your possession, custody or control, sufficient to identify the Discord user or former Discord user ‘GameFreakOUT’ (ID: 1294732540057227357).“

Nintendo of America has also requested that Discord take action to prevent further infringements by GameFreakOUT and any other parties related to the incident. Below is a screenshot of GameFreakOUT’s problematic post.
Polygon reports that the Pokémon leak, posted on October 18, refers to the “Teraleak” scandal, which included a massive disclosure of Game Freak employee personal data, unreleased Pokémon designs, prototypes, early builds of HeartGold & SoulSilver (per Pokebeach), and more. Game Freak acknowledged a data breach about a week before the above Discord post, apologizing and stating that it had since rebuilt the server in a statement posted to its website.
