My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 anime revealed the Episode 1 preview images, as well as the staff and synopsis. The anime will premiere on July 5 alongside two other anime by CloverWorks. Previously, character visuals for Sajuna and Sajuna (Juju) Inui were revealed.
Episode 1 is titled “Wakana Gojo, 15 Years Old, Teenager,” and its synopsis is described:
Wakana Gojo (15) is a high school boy right in the middle of adolescence. He aspires to become a traditional craftsman known as a kashirashi, an artisan who makes the heads of hina dolls. Despite being unusually focused and artistically sensitive for someone his age, he also carries the insecurities and self-consciousness typical of adolescence, often feeling unsure about sharing his unique interests with others.

In our Winter 2022 Anime Awards, My Dress-Up Darling was voted as the Best New Anime, with both Marin and Gojo winning the titles of Best Girl and Best Boy of the season, respectively. Hina Suguta also won Best Female Seiyuu for her role as Marin.
Ayumu Murase and Shohei Komatsu were recently added to the voice cast as Amane Himeno and Shiki Kashiwagi. You can watch the main trailer for the new season below.
The story follows Wakana Gojo, a high school boy with the goal to become a kashirashi, a master craftspan of Japanese Hina dolls just like his grandfather. He meets Marin Kitagawa, one of the popular girls in schools, whose passion is cosplaying. Now Wakana crafts incredible costumes for Marin, as the two break through the cosplay season while slowly growing feelings towards each other.
