After four years, the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. (Magilumiere Co. Ltd.) manga has come to an end. Sekka Iwata (story) and Yu Aoki (illustrations) released its 160th, final chapter on July 9. Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ serialized the manga via its mobile app and website from October 2021.
After the manga concluded, the anime’s official website announced that the anime’s second season is scheduled for 2026. While no further details about the second season have been shared, a promotional visual has been released.

While in our world, magical girls are mostly otaku bait, in the Magilumiere Co. Ltd. universe, they are a highly coveted commodity and profession. But to Kana Sakuragi, the world of magical girls and their constant fights against magical creatures called Kai is nothing more than background noise. Kana grapples with struggles far greater than magical battles. Caught under the so-called millennial curse—her ongoing difficulty in securing a job—she keeps bouncing from interview to interview.
Stuck in an endless loop of resumes and “Where do you see yourself in five years,” Kana’s future seems dim. But when an interview brings her, a Kai, and a magical girl together in the same location, Kana’s unusual memory and quick wit swiftly propel her into the mahou shoujo life.
Magilumiere Co. Ltd. boasts 17 tankobon volumes. Shueisha’s Manga Plus releases the digital English version of the manga. Viz Media publishes the manga in North America under the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. title.
A J.C. Staff and Studio Moe anime adaptation was released as part of the Fall 2024 anime season. Amazon Prime streams the show globally. The anime’s main voice cast includes
