The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity unveiled the Episode 8 preview images, staff, and synopsis on Thursday. Honoka Kato (Spy x Family) is writing the script, while Kohei Tokuoka (Bungo Stray Dogs animation director) is directing.

Episode 8 will be streamed first on Netflix Japan, premiering on Saturday, August 23. The synopsis for the upcoming episode is as follows:
Rintaro introduces Kaoruko and Subaru to Shohei, Saku, and Ayato. Although there’s still some awkwardness, the six of them begin forming a new bond that crosses the boundary between Chidori and Kikyo schools. On the way home, when Rintaro says he wants to thank Kaoruko for helping him study for the midterm exams, she requests that they go out together.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) is a manga series written and illustrated by Saka Mikami. Studio CloverWorks is animating the anime adaptation with Miyuki Kuroki as director. The voice cast consists of:
- Honoka Inoue as Kaoruko Waguri
- Yoshinori Nakayama as Rintaro Tsumugi
- Kikunosuke Toya as Shohei Usami
- Koki Uchiyama as Saku Natsusawa
- Hiiro Ishibashi as Ayato Yorita
