The manga series The Food Diary of Miss Maid by Susumu Maeya is getting a TV anime adaptation set to release in 2026. Kana Ichinose will be playing the main character, Suzume Tachibana, who is mainly featured on the teaser visual and trailer.
EMT Squared and Magic Bus are animating the series with Ryousuke Senbo as director. Natsuko Takahashi and Saeka Fujimoto are doing the scripts, Chiaki Abe is designing the characters, and Katsutoshi Kitagawa is composing the music.
Maeya launched the manga in Kodansha’s Comic Days digital platform in December 2019 with four volumes in total.
Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English, and they describe the story as follows:
What’s a maid to do when she finds herself suddenly stuck in Japan for a year? Eat, of course! Follow maid-in-training Suzume Tachibana as she tries all sorts of Japanese food, from sweets like taiyaki and melon bread to savory snacks like takoyaki and onigiri! Be warned, though-while Suzume sates her appetite through delicious treat after delicious treat, she might just end up whetting yours!
