Dorohedoro Season 2 Shows First Trailer Featuring Opening Song, Cross-Eyes Cast, April 1 Premiere

Dorohedoro Season 2 anime has revealed the first trailer featuring opening song, along with new voice cast and an April 1 premiere. Studio MAPPA is back in charge of the animation production, with Yuichiro Hayashi as the director. The sequel was announced in January 2024, revealing numerous visuals along the way.

The announcement comes on March 8, which is celebrated in Japan as Gyoza Day. That’s due to the phonetic pun “Mi (3) Ya (8),” which sounds like “Gyo.” And we know Caiman is obsessed with gyoza. The new voice cast includes members of The Cross-Eyes:

  • Koki Uchiyama as Dokuga
  • Daiki Hamano as Tetsujo
  • Yuichi Koshimura as Saji
  • Katsuhito Nomura as Ton
  • Atsushi Imaruoka as Ushishimada
  • Sara Matsumoto as Natsuki

Besides Netflix, Crunchyroll and Animation Digital Network (ADN) will also be streaming the anime, with Season 1 now available on the platforms. Previously, the anime was available worldwide only on Netflix.

(K)NoW_NAME will perform both the opening song “Zettai Must Danmen” and ending “Return To Head.” You can watch the new trailer below.

Q Hayashida wrote and illustrated the Dorohedoro manga. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s manga magazines Monthly Ikki from November 2000 to September 2014, Hibana from March 2015 to August 2017, and Monthly Shonen Sunday from November 2017 to September 2018. It was compiled into a total of 23 volumes.

VIZ Media licensed it in English, describing the story as:
In a city so dismal it’s known only as “the Hole,” a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
