The Promised Neverland has announced a new one-shot manga chapter for Summer 2026, which is a part of its 10th anniversary celebration. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2016 to June 2020. The new one-shot will be written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, and it will also be released in the WSJ magazine.

The one-shot is one of the five major projects which were announced for the celebration. Others include a full-scale stage musical, for which auditions open until April 30, a full color digital manga, a pop-up store, and a new online lottery in July.

The Promised Neverland is a Japanese manga series written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from August 2016 to June 2020, ending with a total of 181 chapters compiled into 20 volumes. It has a TV anime adaptation of two seasons by CloverWorks, along with a live-action movie from 2020. There is also an American live-action series being developed by Amazon Studios.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. VIZ describes the story of the first volume:
Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
