The realm of VTubers isn’t late to the huge wave of content creator support for the #TeamSeas campaign. The campaign is ran by YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober. In this case, indie VTubers Nux Taku and Bao have teamed up in making a ‘creative’ (or rather chaotic) approach in relaying the message.
In a video uploaded to Nux Taku’s channel, Nux and Bao ‘invaded’ the live streams of several VTubers such as Girl_DM, Haruka Karibu, and even Hololive Indonesia’s Kureiji Ollie. Other real-life streamers were also featured, including Ryan Higa and Tuonto.
In the segments, Nux and Bao ask the streamers about their thoughts concerning the environment. After that, they encourage them to support their ‘cause’ to protect the environment.
Honestly, this is one of the funniest videos I’ve ever made, and also one of the coolest events I’ve ever been able to take part in.
Nux Taku
He also thanked MrBeast for having him as a part of the campaign. He also added that he was given a free hoodie with the logo of the #TeamSeas campaign on it.

About the #TeamSeas Campaign
The #TeamSeas campaign is an environmental collaboration between popular YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober to clean up trash from the ocean. The campaign assures that for every US$1 donated for the cause, one pound of trash from the ocean will get cleaned up.
They aim that by the end of this year, around 30 million pounds of trash will be removed from our world’s oceans.
The campaign has already seen wide support from the YouTube community. These include personalities such as MatPat from ‘The Game Theory’, Doctor Mike, Linus from ‘LinusTechTips’, LazarBeam, among others.
Well-known personalities and organizations have also pitched in support, including DJ Alan Walker, Night Media, and the Royal Caribbean.
#TeamSeas is the successor of #TeamTrees, the first campaign made by MrBeast and Mark Rober in October 2019 where they aimed to plant 20 million trees before 2020.
As a part of the campaign process, MrBeast also called upon BEN Group, an entertainment AI company. This is to encourage the creator community and identify the right creators and audiences who would care about this cause.
“At BEN, we’ve seen firsthand that today’s creators have the power to make a meaningful impact in the world, and they have encouraged others to make a difference. MrBeast’s philanthropic endeavors have been inspiring to watch over the years, and he’s become a pioneer in encouraging others to give back to their communities. We’re proud to support him on this crucial effort to clean up our world’s waters.”
Ricky Ray Butler, CEO of BEN, regarding the campaign.
