The official Twitter account for the 86 EIGHTY-SIX TV anime has released the preview video for episode 20, which will premiere this Saturday on December 18, 2021. Its title is “Together Unto Death”. It comes after being delayed from December 11, and you can watch the preview:
Previously, episodes 18 and 19 were also delayed by 1 week each. Production issues were the specified reason, and we’ll see if it occurs for the future (there will be a total of 23 episodes).
The 86: Eighty-Six anime is currently airing its second cour, and it continues after the first part which aired in Spring 2021. A-1 Pictures is animating the series, while Koshimasa Ishii is the director. Tetsuya Kawakami is the character designer, while Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano composed the OST. Toshiya Oono oversaw the series composition.
Asato Asato writes the original light novel, with Shirabi’s illustrations. It first began in 2017 in the Dengeki Bunko imprint, and has a total of ten volumes so far.
The second part of the series covers events from Volume 2 of the light novel, for which the story goes:
