The winners for the 67th Shogakukan Manga Awards have been revealed and they include some fan-favorites, but also some titles that haven’t been licensed in English yet. The contest accepted 13 nominees in 4 categories – Best Shojo Manga, Best Shonen Manga, Best General Manga, and Best Children’s Manga. The winners were chosen by a special panel of judges and received a special bronze statue (Minori by Shigeru Nakano), as well as a 1 million yen prize.
Judges included mangakas Eiji Kazama, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Fujihiko Hosono, Naoko Matsuda, author and critic Bourbon Kobayashi (Yu Nagashima), producer and writer Genki Kawamura, as well as novelist Maha Harada.
Best Shojo Manga – My Love Mix-Up!

The winner of the 67th Shogakukan Manga Awards in the Best Children’s Manga category wasn’t chosen. Hello! My Baby by Shino Kawada and Rich Keikan Cash! by Sakuya Kuroda were the only nominees.
