World Trigger Manga Series Goes on One-Month Hiatus

The ongoing manga series World Trigger is going on a one-month hiatus due to the health issues of its author Daisuke Ashihara. The announcement was made on the official Twitter account of the series.

This is not the first time the World Trigger manga has gone on a hiatus. In September 2021, the series went on a one-month hiatus, also due to Ashihara’s health issues.

World Trigger manga by Ashihara was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2013 to November 2018. The series was then transferred to Jump Square in December 2018. It received an anime adaptation from Toei Animation that aired from October 2014 to April 2016. It was then followed by a second season (January to April 2021) and a third season (October 2021 to January 2022).

Viz Media has licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
Destroy thy Neighbor! A gate to another dimension has burst open, and invincible monsters called Neighbors invade Earth. Osamu Mikumo may not be the best among the elite warriors who co-opt other-dimensional technology to fight back, but along with his Neighbor friend Yuma, he’ll do whatever it takes to defend life on Earth as we know it.
