Overlord IV (Season 4) revealed two preview videos for the upcoming episode 6, which is set to air on Tuesday, August 9. The two previews are, as always, the “normal” version, narrated by Ainz (Satoshi Hino), and a special version narrated by a character who will have significant importance or screen time in the episode. Last week’s special PV was narrated by Cocytus, who is voiced by Kenta Miyake. Both trailers have English subtitles. The episode is titled “The Impending Crisis”.
The episode will focus on the dwarf nation, which in the past managed to build several cities underground. They were prosperous and Feo Raidho stood out among them. However, it was abandoned after attacks by subhuman Quagoa. After Ainz saves them from a new attack, the dwarves set up a meeting, even though they fear the undead. Will they agree to something unexpected in exchange for the recapture of the city? The special trailer focuses on Shalltear Bloodfallen, who will play an important role. Shalltear, who is voiced by Sumire Uesaka, is also the main narrator:
Naoyuki Ito is directing the Overlord Season 4 (Overlord IV) anime, with Satoshi Tasaki on character designs. Yukie Sugawara is overseeing the series composition and also writing the screenplay.
The Overlord anime series is based on light novels written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in 2015. Season 2 and season 3 both aired during 2018, with studio MADHOUSE animating. Two recap movies by MADHOUSE were also released along the way. A new movie is also in the works, but no additional information is known at this time.
