I'm in Love with the Villainess Anime Announced With Trailer, Visual and Cast

The yuri light novel series I’m in Love with the Villainess is getting an anime adaptation. The adaptation was announced today with a teaser visual, preview, and the main cast information. Yu Serizawa will be voicing Rae Taylor while Karin Nanami plays Claire François. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Studio Platinum Vision is producing the anime with Hideaki Oba as director. Ayumu Hisao is writing the series composition and Yoko Sato is adapting the original character designs of Hanagata and Aonoshimo for the anime. Hajime Takakuwa is the sound director.

I’m in Love with the Villainess anime adaptation is based on the light novel series written by Inori and illustrated by Hanagata. It was originally published on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2018. Ichijinsha acquired it at a later date with 5 volumes in total. A manga adaptation illustrated by Anoshimo launched in June 2020 and it currently has 4 volumes in circulation.

Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the light novel in English and they describe the plot as:
Ordinary office worker Ohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution. To her delight, the first person to greet her is also her favorite character, Claire Francois—the main antagonist of the story! Now, Rei is determined to romance Claire instead of the game’s male leads. But how will her villainous ladylove react to this new courtship?!
