The upcoming Ayakashi Triangle anime adaptation released a trailer along with the opening and ending theme song singers and the broadcast information. The premiere date is set for January 9, 2023. Studio CONNECT is animating Kentaro Yabuki’s manga. The information was revealed during a live stream with the main cast members on YouTube.
Idol group Philosophy no Dance is performing the opening theme song “Neppu wa Ruten suru,” while MIMiNARI is singing the ending theme song “Itowanai” with Miyu Tomita and Kana Ichinose. The first trailer was revealed in September.
Two voice actors are voicing the protagonist Matsuri Kazamaki: Shoya Chiba, known for his roles as Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite and Shinei Nouzen in 86, and Miyu Tomita (Miko Iino in Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Gabriel White Tenma in Gabriel DropOut), who is voicing the female version. Kana Ichinose, known as the voice actress of Maki Shijo in Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Suletta Mercury in currently-airing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, is voicing Matsuri’s childhood friend Suzu Kanade. Tessho Genda, who played Kurama in the Naruto series and Kaido in One Piece, is joining the cast Shirogane.
The ongoing Ayakashi Triangle manga began in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on June 15, 2020, and moved to the company’s online magazine Shonen Jump+ with Chapter 89 on April 25, 2022. The series released the 11th volume on November 4, 2022. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website introduces the plot as:
Japan may be brimming with mysterious monsters called ayakashi, but they have a special exorcist ninja force to counter the threat! Young exorcist ninja Matsuri spends his days fighting ayakashi to protect his childhood friend Suzu. But when an ayakashi cat named Shirogane shows up, things get turned upside down! Legendary mangaka Kentaro Yabuki returns to Shonen Jump with this new fantasy series full of ayakashi and romance!
