Keigo Maki’s Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga released volume 16 volume on Friday. The manga is currently ongoing on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga service. The newly-released volume features grumpy-looked Shikimori with her long hair tied in two pigtails on the cover.
Saori Onishi, the voice actress of Ais Wallenstein in Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? and Eriri Spencer Sawamura in Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, voiced Shikimori in the anime adaptation.
Keigo Maki is running the Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga on Magazine Pocket since February 2019. The manga’s first compiled volume was published in June 2019, and the 15th volume in October 2022. The series inspired an anime adaptation by studio Doga Kobo, which aired from April to July 2022 with a total of 12 episodes. Kodansha USA is publishing the series in English. The first volume was on sale physically and digitally in October 2020, and the latest, 10th, volume was released in August 2022. The official website describes the plot of the series as:
Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! A fun and funny high school romance with a sassy twist perfect for fans of Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate!
