The 17th annual Seiyu Awards have just concluded and for the first time in history, three voice actors won the Best Leading Voice Actor: Chika Anzai (Chisato Nishikigi in Lycoris Recoil), Takuya Eguchi (Loid Forger in Spy x Family), and Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family). Takuya Eguchi also won the Most Valuable Seiyu award which is chosen by fan votes and Atsumi Tanezaki was one of the winners of the Best Supporting Role award.
The full list of 17th Seiyu Awards is:
- Best Leading Voice Actor Award – Chika Anzai, Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki
- Most Valuable Seiyu Award – Takuya Eguchi
- Best Supporting Voice Actor Award – Shuuichi Ikeda, Ryotaro Okiayu, Tanezaki Atsumi Tanezaki
- Best Rookie Voice Actor Award – Shuuichiro Umeda, Hina Suguta, Anna Nagase, Minami Hinata, Shion Wakayama
- Best Foreign Film / Drama Award – Shihori Kanjiya, Toshiyuki Morikawa
- Best Singer Award – Nijigasaki High School Idol Club
- Influencer Award – Natsuki Hanae
- Kei Tomiyama Award – Junichi Suwabe
- Kazue Takahashi Award – Maria Kawamura
- Merit Award – Chikako Akimoto, Yusaku Yara
- Kids/Family Award – Ikue Otani, Rica Matsumoto
- Best Synergy Award – Jujutsu Kaisen
- Special Prize Award – Let’s Make a Mug Too
In the 17th Seiyu awards, the categories of “Best Lead Voice Actor,” “Best Supporting Voice Actor,” and “New Voice Actor”, were not separated by gender. The awards ceremony also paid respect to the voice actors who passed away last year. The previous winners of the leading voice actor award were Megumi Ogata and Kensho Ono.
