As people globally are celebrating the Christmas season, many anime fans are also enjoying it as many of their favorites have also released special visuals and other campaigns to share with fans the joy and cheer of the Yuletide season. Without further ado, check out all of these special illustrations and campaigns from some of the anime titles we’ve seen joining the festivities so far (even if some simply re-released their last year’s illustrations).

Oshi no Ko
The popular idol anime has released two Christmas-themed visuals, specifically for the characters Kana Arime and Akane Kurokawa, with a special video released featuring snippets of Kana and Akane’s voices. The anime’s second season is slated for next year.
My Hero Academia
For this year’s Christmas, My Hero Academia released a visual featuring Bakugo Katsuki, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya all wearing Santa Claus outfits, and seemingly looking down a chimney (or a well).
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
Ahead of the last three episodes (episodes 10-12) released on Christmas Day itself, the anime revealed a special illustration featuring the main characters Akira Tendo, Shizuka Mikazuki, Kenichiro Ryuuzaki, and Beatrix Amerhauser while preparing for the holidays.
Classroom of the Elite
For this illustration, Classroom of the Elite re-released last year’s illustration depicting Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Kikyo Kushida, and Kakeru Ryuen enjoying some champagne. A new commercial has been recently released ahead of the anime’s season 3 premiere on January 3.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
The official author of the series, Fujino Omori, released a special Christmas visual featuring the main characters Bell Cranel and Hestia. Details for the anime’s fifth season were officially released in November this year.
Roshidere
The upcoming Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime has released special illustrations depicting the main character Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou in a Christmas-themed gift outfit as well as Santa Claus. Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series and will premiere in April 2024.
Banished From the Hero’s Party
Ruti Ragnason is depicted in this special visual wearing a Santa Claus outfit. The anime’s second season will begin airing next year.
Mashle
In a fun-filled Christmas visual, main characters Mash Burnedead, Finn Ames, Lemon Irvine, Dot Barrett, and Lance Crown are depicted as they enjoy some fun snow-related activities, including building a snowman. Season 2 of the anime will air on January 6, with a stage play adaptation bound to happen in the summer of next year.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Following the recent conclusion of the series’ first cour, a special illustration featuring mainly Himmel the Hero was released, alongside the rest of the party members Himmel the Priest, Frieren the Mage, and Eisen the Warrior being onlookers. The second cour will begin on January 5.
Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World
Two Christmas-related visuals have been released; the first depicts Emilia, Ram, and Rem; while the second one depicts Subaru Natsuki and Julius Juukulius. A third season for the anime has been announced, albeit no further details have been announced as of this writing.
Date a Live
Yoshino Himekawa is getting her own Christmas visual, showing her casually playing around in the snow. The anime’s fifth season is slated to premiere next year.
The Dangers in My Heart
With the anime’s second season set to premiere on January 6, a special Christmas visual depicting Anna Yamada has been released.
Doctor Elise
A special visual for the upcoming Doctor Elise anime has been released featuring the main characters Elise de Lawrence and Linden de Romanov, alongside an accompanying voice drama for it.
Jii-san Baa-san Wakagaeru
Following the release of its first-ever trailer, the upcoming romantic comedy anime also released a Christmas-themed visual featuring the couple Shozo and Ine.
Pon no Michi
This original mahjong anime from Studio OLM released a special Christmas trailer featuring its characters celebrating the Christmas festivities, with its version of ‘Jingle Bells’ playing in the background.
Gushing over Magical Girls
The upcoming magical girl-yuri anime has released a rather daring Christmas visual showing the characters Magia Azul, Magia Sulfur, and Magia Magenta of the “Tres Magia” group wearing swimsuits. The anime will premiere this January 3.
The Fable
The upcoming drama-thriller anime had other ideas for its Christmas visual, as it goes down to a more mature theme showing a drunken Yoko Sato alongside Misaki Shimizu. The anime will begin airing in the spring of next year.
Nights With a Cat
The slice-of-life-comedy short anime series also joined in the Christmas fun, with its main cat protagonist seen posing alongside a shark plush donning a Christmas tree outfit. The second season of the anime concluded in November this year.
