Background

Yoshimi Sato writes and draws the Kakushite Makina-san (stylized as Kakushite Makina-san!!) manga, which was first serialized in Futabasha’s Monthly Action from October 2022 to February 2024. It was moved to the publisher’s Web Comic Action in April 2024 after the original magazine ended. Volume 4 of the manga released on December 12, 2024.

The story follows Makina Agatsuma, a school idol, as she moves in with a tech-geek Eita Akutsu. While Eita thinks he’s finally getting the protagonist lifestyle, it turns out Makina herself is a robot designed for intimate purposes. Now he needs to protect that secret, slowly forming a relationship (and actually sort of getting the MC life).
