Malaysia’s AniManGaki holds JOM Cosplay 2022, a physical event to be held on the weekend of February 26-27 at Sungei Wang Plaza’s JUMPA area in Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang district. JOM Cosplay is the first animation-comics-games event of 2022 with activities in store for its guests.
Activities at JOM Cosplay 2022
A total of 64 booths are set to fill in the Artist & Cosplay Alley, featuring some of Malaysia’s creative talents scattered in four areas of the venue.
Video and Carnival Games are waiting for gamers casual and hardcore alike—BlazBlue Central Fiction, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments with cash prizes, as well as the Lucky Wheel will be set up.
JOM Cosplay Stage Activities such as the Dance and Cosplay competitions are also in store for everyone, with RM3,500 and RM2,000 worth of cash prizes and goodies to be given away respectively. In addition, there will be performances from local talents Mayxx Music, Hazuki Rin from Crosssouls, Meelz, Rixie and Zero Music.
Meet Special Guests & Judges Shine, Abudora, Rikka Blurhound, Geena and Mabel. There is also a dedicated VTuber Showcase featuring 9 Virtual YouTubers including Apex Demon, Moon Jelly, Momoiro Kohi and more.
JOM Cosplay at Sungei Wang Plaza on the weekend of February 26-27, 2022 is free to enter. With COVID-19 safety protocols in place, guests are advised that fully-vaccinated individuals are allowed entry into the event using the MySejahtera app, and physical distancing is to be implemented at all times. AniManGaki is one of the leading names in Malaysia’s anime, games and comics events scene which debuted as a physical campus event in 2009. AniManGaki adopted its physical event online, streaming online events in 2020 and 2021.
