15 – Mutatsu
The trope of “religious figure who drinks and smokes” is never going to get old for me. Mutatsu is usually talked about as one of the few Social Links who is available at night, and in a nightclub no less. Mutatsu’s arc is unintentional on his part; he spends much of his arc treating the protagonist like a son and trying to impart some knowledge.
In the process though, he manages to process some of his own trauma from losing his family and does a lot of introspection, ultimately returning to his family and vowing to be a better person. His mixture of humorous remarks, the contract between his monk aesthetic and drunkenness all make him an enjoyable presence to me,
