Previously announced Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story – Final Season has been delayed to Spring 2022, after previously being set to air at the end of 2021. The official Magia Record website posted a statement about the delay, citing production issues. Studio SHAFT is animating the series.
The first season of Magia Record came out in the Winter of 2020 and had 13 episodes. The second one followed in Summer 2021 with 8 episodes. The story is based on a mobile game.
Magia Record is a spin-off series to the highly popular Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise. Puella Magi Madoka Magica originally aired in 2011. Madoka Magica project also has three movies. The first two movies are recap versions of the first season, while the third is a sequel. A new movie project is also in the works.

Even though these girls are putting their lives on the line for a wish, rumors say they can be saved in Kamihama City. That’s where Iroha Tamaki is headed in search of answers.
